There is something to be said for simply doing nothing, merely sitting on the seawall, emptying one's head of all thoughts, letting the mind wander where it will. It may be difficult to do nothing, but a rewarding experience awaits. There is no thought of today's tasks nor those of yesterday nor of those to be done tomorrow. Sensing the pleasant sea wind with eyes closed, one hears the cries of shorebirds and the lap of waves. Gradually the body relaxes.
